The Company

This property firm is a rapidly growing conglomerate with diverse interests across the majority of real estate & property services.

With a projected doubling of revenue in the next 18 months and plans for international expansion, including a potential move into other markets, the company is seeking an Interim Director of FP&A to support its ambitious growth trajectory.

The role will report directly to the CFO and will play a pivotal role in strategic decision-making and financial management.

The Role

As the Interim Director of FP&A, you will be responsible for:

  1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives, including potential M&A activities and international expansion.
  2. Financial Analysis: Lead the FP&A function to provide insightful analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to support decision-making.
  3. Business Partnering: Partner with divisional heads to provide financial support and guidance, driving financial discipline and accountability across the organization. Develop strong working relationships with non-finance stakeholders to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  4. Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of financial systems, to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Leverage tools like Alteryx and Power BI to optimize data analysis and reporting.
  5. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Shape the team structure and skillset to support the evolving needs of the business.
  6. Operational Excellence: Drive best practices in financial planning and analysis, including the development of operating models and performance metrics. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with counterparts in Europe and other international subsidiaries to align financial strategies and reporting standards. Support the Group Controller in addressing P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow-related queries.

Your Profile

You will have:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with expertise in financial and performance management reporting; experience in a large/PE backed organization is highly beneficial.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in FP&A, preferably within a private equity-backed or similarly dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across functions and geographies.
  • Consider the rate of £700- £800 per day to represent a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.

Compensation & Benefits

As well as the day rate of £700 - £800 per day, the role offers exposure to an impressive, commercially minded team, building out a world-class finance function.

The business is progressive in their approach to flexible working, so would most often only require a physical presence in the office two to three times per week.
