Our fast paced pioneering and award winning market leader in consumer electronics/audio/visual equipment are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to work alongside the Operations & Supply Chain Director. You will work together on key projects to ensure that the supply chain and logistics operations function runs efficiently and productively. You will collaborate closely with all departments from Logistics to Finance as well as external manufacturers and suppliers globally, across Europe and APAC. You will be the key point of contact in the absence of the Operations Director and have sole responsibility for maintaining the day-to-day management of the department. The ability to expedite and effectively project manage and communicate at all levels is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire logistics process for inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, including return of products
  • Manage logistics data and records, generate reports, provide presentations to key stakeholders
  • Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors
  • Deputise for the Operations Director, managing key responsibilities in their absence
  • Manage the daily operations of the Supply chain process and ensure proper and timely execution
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain and improvement processes
  • Experience of contracts management and contracts management systems
  • Resolve Supply Chain/Logistics issues (e.g. delays in delivery, quality, supplier performance)
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth ensuring that the supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Negotiate and incentivise suppliers/vendors to acquire better commercial agreements
  • Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for innovations to the process
  • Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers
  • Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or disrupt the supply chain
  • Awareness of the entire supply chain and report to key stakeholders accordingly

About you:

  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager is essential
  • Logistics/supply chain/distribution experience in a growing but fast paced business
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field
  • A background in electronics or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
  • Project management skills and expediting
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes and improvements
  • Strong and effective communicator
  • Supplier relationship management skills - ability to build new and improve existing
  • Attention to detail and a solutions based thinker
  • A strategic and analytic mindset
  • MCIPS or working towards
  • Proactive and has energy and drive
