Cedar has partnered with a world leading property company. They are urgently searching for an experienced Service Charge Advisor on an temp to perm contract, supporting the Property Accounts Assistant.

Salary: £115 - £135 a day (PAYE)

Location: City of London (Hybrid)

Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with our third-party partners to ensure closure of annual service charge reconciliations across a variety of complex assets in line with RICS guidelines and agreed SLAs. Role will require a variation of:

    • Reviewing income demanded in the year and ensuring all occupiers are correctly billed

    • Reviewing Tenant apportionment and undertaking CAP calculations

    • Reviewing expenditure to ensure it has been coded correctly in line with budget

    • Calculating, recommending, and posting accruals and prepayments

    • Raising ad-hoc charges to tenants

    • Preparing closure packs and letters

  • Case Managing the Service Charge end to end process for assigned allocation

  • Assisting our internal stakeholders with closing off annual property budgets in line with RICS guidelines and agreed SLA's

  • Assist in quality review of third-party partners work

  • Preparing reconciliation of clients' service charge funds.

  • Working closely with other teams within REAS to provide exceptional outcomes

  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve the role responsibilities.

  • Responsible for assisting other team members passing on knowledge and skills particularly to new members of staff

  • Undertaking project work to support re-engineering or efficiency improvement

Required Skill:

  • Technical understanding of service charges

  • Understanding of Real Estate transactions (leases, debits and credits)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Fully proficient in Excel
