Cedar has partnered with a world leading property company. They are urgently searching for an experienced Service Charge Advisor on an temp to perm contract, supporting the Property Accounts Assistant.
Salary: £115 - £135 a day (PAYE)
Location: City of London (Hybrid)
Start date: ASAP
Working closely with our third-party partners to ensure closure of annual service charge reconciliations across a variety of complex assets in line with RICS guidelines and agreed SLAs. Role will require a variation of:
Reviewing income demanded in the year and ensuring all occupiers are correctly billed
Reviewing Tenant apportionment and undertaking CAP calculations
Reviewing expenditure to ensure it has been coded correctly in line with budget
Calculating, recommending, and posting accruals and prepayments
Raising ad-hoc charges to tenants
Preparing closure packs and letters
Case Managing the Service Charge end to end process for assigned allocation
Assisting our internal stakeholders with closing off annual property budgets in line with RICS guidelines and agreed SLA's
Assist in quality review of third-party partners work
Preparing reconciliation of clients' service charge funds.
Working closely with other teams within REAS to provide exceptional outcomes
Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve the role responsibilities.
Responsible for assisting other team members passing on knowledge and skills particularly to new members of staff
Undertaking project work to support re-engineering or efficiency improvement
Technical understanding of service charges
Understanding of Real Estate transactions (leases, debits and credits)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
Attention to detail
Fully proficient in Excel
