Cedar are supporting a Private Sector organisation who are on the look for 2 x Senior Procurement Manager - Social Value. This is a permanent position with a salary up to £55,000 on offer (depending on experience) and will be mainly home based but will require travel to offices in London and the North West, typically 2-4 days per month in total (after lockdown restrictions have been lifted). The Senior Procurement Manager will focus on supporting clients in the Public Sector to provide expertise around the Procurement process and Social Value. You will be required to either host full end to end procurements and/or evaluate elements of the tender specifically relating to Social Value on behalf of clients engaged. You will be required to both manage and up-skill a small team of Procurement/Social Value specialists along with managed key customer and stakeholder relationships on a daily basis. The key focus of the role when supporting clients will be to:

  • Help clients embed social value in their procurement processes
  • Provide internal and external training on the evaluation of social value
  • Develop reports on social value outcomes
  • Analyse project performance and metrics
  • Ongoing client relationship management

Candidates applying for this role MUST HAVE experience which covers:

  • Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards
  • Experience running an end to end Public Sector Procurement
  • Ideally have worked in a management position in the Public Sector in a role covering Procurement, Category or Commercial Management
  • Excellent team working and management skills
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
