Senior Procurement Manager - FTSE 250 - Remote Work - IT - £80,000 - £90,000

Cedar are working with a FTSE 250 business, currently undergoing an exciting procurement transformation, who are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join their IT procurement team. This is a permanent role with the option for 100% remote work, although office facilities are available in several locations around the UK.

Reporting straight into the Director of IT Procurement, the Senior Procurement Manager will lead a team 6 direct reports to develop and deliver on IT category strategy in line with organisational goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Procurement covering Hardware, Software and Services and will have run high value procurement projects within a large and complex organisation, with experience of leading and developing a team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior IT Procurement Professional, with real opportunity for future progression within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Manager

  • Develop and implement a long term IT category strategy according to organisational goals
  • Develop and implement IT supplier management processes
  • Work with key IT stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with corporate goals
  • Lead on large procurement projects of high complexity, risk and value
  • Maintain a strong and up to date understanding of the IT supplier market, with an awareness of future developments and changes

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a Senior IT procurement role
  • Category experience covering IT hardware, software and services
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Background within a large, complex organisation
