Our high profile and prestigious client are looking for a forward thinking and innovative procurement professional to work within the procurement function of this small but key area of the organisation. This will be a key role for an embryonic team to work alongside the Procurement & Commercial Lead, so would suit a self-motivated individual looking for that next career step! You will have experience of delivering robust strategies, implementing best practice, and ensuring the organisation benefits from value for money without compromising service levels across all spend for goods and services. Key areas of spend will fall within IT and you will partner with senior stakeholders to ensure that needs are met and correct advice is given. You will lead on all high value IT procurements, working in conjunction with business and the procurement lead, using best practice procurement regulations. This role would suit a senior procurement/category manager who is looking for autonomy and flexibility within a greenfield function.

·MCIPS qualified and knoweledge of Public Sector/OJEU regs
·Strong negotiator and ability to engage, guide and advise senior stakeholders
·Contracts management and effective Supplier Relationship Management skills
·Proven commercial acumen
·Proven track record of implementing procurement strategies and innovative solutions
·Ability to act as a business partner within the organisation
·Self-starter with gravitas and presence
·Existing knowledge of managing indirect spend - cross category within a not for profit environment
