A Senior Group Accountant is sought by a fast-growing, global, industrial FTSE-250 Plc. With revenues in excess of £1bn and growth in both revenues and operating margins, they are increasing market share across their three major service lines. The company is well-run, acquisitive and poised to continue their success story in years to come.
The Senior Group Accountant will be part of a team of 5 and will report to the Group Financial Controller. Responsibilities are varied and, amongst other things, the post-holder will:
- Assist in preparing the Group's monthly management & financial reporting.
- Perform relevant financial analysis / flash reports as part of internal reporting to CEO / CFO.
- Support the Group's annual budgeting and re-forecasting process.
- Assist in preparing the Group's Annual and Half Year Reports including liaising with the auditors.
- Perform technical accounting work to support M&A activity, consolidations, IFRS updates, etc.
- Drive a broad range of project work.
The ideal candidate for the position of Senior Group Accountant will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA preferred) who is either looking to leave practice or who has already moved into industry.
- Possess strong all round IFRS knowledge and experience of plc group audits.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a desire to support budgeting & forecasting processes.
- Be well-organised, able to multi-task and keen to demonstrate initiative.
- Seek to take advantage of a particularly impressive Group FC and the support of a wider business.
Salary: £70000 - £75000 + 25% bonus + all-round benefits package.
