Senior Financial Accountant, FMCG, West London, c£70k + Bonus + Great Benefits

I am working with a £400m t/o Listed FMCG business who are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join their successful finance function. You will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury functions within the dynamic organisation. This role requires an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (IFRS), and strong analytical and communication skills.

Financial Accounting and Reporting:

  • Central Costs:
    • Prepare and oversee reporting and budgeting for central costs.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Group Accounting:
    • Assist in consolidation processes and reporting for the group.
    • Manage cashflow reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS 2, IFRS 16, and pensions accounting standards.
  • Audit Management:
    • Supervise year-end and half-year audit processes.
    • Maintain relationships with external auditors.
  • Technical Accounting:
    • Prepare accounting papers for the Audit Committee.
    • Stay updated on technical accounting standards and changes.
  • Subsidiary Statistics:
    • Manage subsidiary accounting and reporting as required.
  • Internal Controls and Audit Planning:
    • Conduct process mapping and audit planning for internal control procedures.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Treasury Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with banking partners.
  • Prepare net debt reports for presentation to the Board.
  • Develop and maintain cashflow forecasting models.
  • Manage loan and credit facility agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial covenants in loan agreements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified with 2+ years post qualified experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and audit management.
  • Driven with a desire to progress
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
