Cedar are supporting a Procurement & Supply Chain Consultancy, focused on supporting clients in UK and International Private Sector marketplace, who are currently looking to recruit a Senior Category Lead to support Non-IT spend. This role is a permanent position with a salary up to £60,000 on offer (depending on experience) plus a yearly bonus. Ideally we are looking for someone based in the North of England - the role will be home based but will require travel for onsite client visits once restrictions are lifted.

The successful candidate will be assigned to lead client engagements from a non-IT perspective and will head up the delivery of complex transformation programme and operational projects relating to procurement and supply chain. This is a senior role within the organisation and as a result will require you to act as a role model and help develop other members of staff.

You will be response for/required to:

• day to day activity and managing the successful execution of engagements assigned
• network and build on current and prospective client relationships to facilitate continued business growth
• develop an understanding of customer business, needs, products/services and their supply chain to ensure delivery excellence and customer expectations are exceeded
• contribute to proposal submissions and business development activities as directed by the leadership team

Candidates applying for this role MUST HAVE:

• Ideally qualified to a Masters Degree level or relevant professional qualifications along with ongoing learning
• Fluency in a second language would be advantageous
• 5+ years' experience working in a Procurement & Supply Chain Consultancy or a Senior Functional role in a corporate environment
• International experience would be advantageous
• Experience managing a team and projects - managing consulting teams in various locations would be advantageous
• Experience in sectors covering Private Equity, Hospitality, Telecoms, Retail, FMCG, Pharma and/or Financial Services
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
