Our client's small but highly performing Public Sector Procurement function are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Procurement and Contracts Manager to join the team. You will have experience of developing strategic sourcing strategies within the indirect portfolio, ensuring best practice frameworks are followed and ensuring all contracts provide the best value for money whilst maintaining service levels.
You will take the lead on Procurement Projects whilst managing all existing and new contracts to ensure service levels are met and maintained. This role will also involve regular interaction with the legal team and key stakeholders whilst ensuring that public sector guidelines and OJEU regulations are followed. The perfect candidate for this role would be a procurement/contracts manager who has recent experience in the Public Sector, project management skills and is comfortable working in a high intensity, delivery focused environment.

·MCIPS qualified or part qualified
·Public Sector procurement - covering indirect spend
·Proven analytical and project management skills
·Experience of OJEU procurement
·Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and advise senior stakeholders
·Ability to influence stakeholders and manage suppliers effectively
·Proven track record of implementing cost saving initiatives
·Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
·Previous experience managing all procurement across a large indirect portfolio within a Public-Sector environment
