Job Title: Process Design Engineer

Location: London (hybrid work pattern)

Salary: Up to £53,000

To support this mission, we are seeking highly skilled professionals to join the Portfolio, Planning & Insights team in the CFO function.

Role Overview:

The Portfolio, Planning & Insights team is a newly established capability focused on enterprise planning, business insights, continuous improvement, and efficient process design. As a Process Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our client's internal processes to ensure they are fit for the future. This role involves collaborating closely with process owners, documenting current processes, identifying gaps and opportunities, and driving the reengineering of complex internal processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business process workshops to develop end-to-end cross-functional business processes, including inputs and outputs.
  • Analyse current processes and data, defining revised/new improved processes.
  • Prepare process flow diagrams from high-level processes down to detailed work instruction levels.
  • Define processes considering systems, data, manual activities, control points, SLAs, and owners.
  • Apply process efficiency experience to ensure optimal processes.
  • Ensure processes align with the overall end-to-end processes of our client.
  • Support organisational events to drive business adoption and change acceptance.
  • Respond promptly to colleague feedback.

Skills and Experience - Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in process design engineering, with Finance and Commercial process experience desired.
  • Proven experience and use of process methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and associated tools (MS Visio and Sharepoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working in multidisciplinary teams with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong written skills to document processes accurately.
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with stakeholders.
  • Rapid assimilation of complex data.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to explain complex policy or technical details to lay audiences.
  • Results-focused with high levels of personal initiative and a positive outlook.

Skills and Experience - Desirable:

  • Background in Finance and/or Commercial processes.
  • Experience in the Utilities industry (preferred, but not essential).
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment with a strong culture of information security.
