Are you a PQ Management Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business?

If so, we have partnered with a highly profitable organisation who are looking for a personable, motivated and driven Management Accountant to join their busy team. This role is offered due to an internal promotion of the current Management Accountant.

The successful candidate will have proven Management Accountant experience and be working towards their professional finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA)

Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and detailed analysis of costs
  • Assist in budget and forecasting reports
  • Monthly management reporting, P&L, Balance Sheet, financial and margin analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of year end accounts and the year end file
  • Analysing new shop opening costs and initial review of invoices to new franchisees
  • Assist franchisees with new business plans
  • Working with the warehouse on stock control and analysis. Investigate discrepancies.
  • Analysis of group sales on a weekly and ad hoc basis (PowerBI)
  • Review of billing of franchisee recharges to ensure correct mark up is applied
  • Detailed profit and loss analysis
  • Ownership of Debtors control account
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Assist with the preparation of year end accounts and the year end file
  • Prepare weekly payment run with AP ready for review

Person Specification

  • Part qualified or qualified (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Advance Excel skills and good knowledge of all other Microsoft office products
  • Have the ability to adapt and work in a dynamic and fast-growing business
  • Have strong commercial acumen with strong communication skills
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Proactive hands on approach
  • Knowledge of FMCG retail/consumer sector (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Business Central ERP system (preferred)
