Job Title: Snr Global Platform Manager (PMO)

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Salary: £70,000

Job Summary:

Are you a seasoned project management professional with a track record of successfully leading medium to large-scale projects? Do you thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment? If so, we invite you to join our client's Finance Innovation Office (FIO) / Transformation Office as a PMO Lead. In this role, you will take on the challenge of planning, leading, and executing global, cross-functional projects with a significant impact on our Finance organisation. Your ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and provide leadership will be essential to drive project success. Join our client and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage medium to large-scale projects, ensuring on-time delivery and quality while proactively managing and escalating risks and issues.
  • Project Planning: Plan, initiate, and execute projects, adhering to project management processes. You will adopt project management methodologies, including risk and issue management and status reporting.
  • Infrastructure Setup: Establish project infrastructure, including project plans, dashboard reporting, milestone tracking, and risk logs using Smartsheet, our chosen tool. Prepare detailed status updates and executive summaries as required.
  • Document Management: Ensure proper document storage following project methodology and best practices. This role requires hands-on involvement in administrative tasks such as meeting invitations and taking meeting notes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including Compliance, Internal Audit, Change Management, and Communications, to create detailed project plans integrated into overall project reporting artifacts.
  • Requirements Clarification: Consult with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements, budgets, and business cases aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Platform Coordination: Act as a key point of contact in coordinating project planning and tracking activities.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) in a related field with a minimum of 7 years' experience in project management.
  • Agile Experience: Practical experience in delivering projects using agile methods, including SCRUM, Kanban, and Lean XP.
  • Agile Tools: Proficiency in agile tools, ideally Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence.
  • Certifications: PMP or Agile certification is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisational and analytical abilities.
  • Financial Knowledge: Strong knowledge of financial terms, concepts, and accounting principles.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information, problem-solve independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Other Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge of Smartsheet, DevOps, or similar tools is an advantage, with full training provided.
