Cedar are currently looking for a Dutch Payroll Specialist to join a luxury retail company on a permanent basis.

This role is a hybrid role, based in either Amsterdam, London, or Paris. This role reports into the Payroll Manager France and Benelux.

Salary: £43,000/ €50,000 + benefits (no bonus)

Reporting into: Payroll Manager

In this role you will be responsible for the execution of payroll services, policies, and programs in support of the Dutch team. Due to the high visibility and partnership to both corporate and retail teams, it is critical that this individual is a trusted business partner to both the functional Business Partners and the People & Development community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure a correct processing of the monthly Payroll with the provider Cloudpay
  • Perform required input in the payroll system (Workday)
  • Manage full and timely check of monthly payroll
  • make all necessary arrangements for the accurate and timely payment of monthly salaries and advise on employee benefits issues.
  • submit control register gross/net salaries, gross allowances, payroll tax
  • Maintain salary documentation archive in a precise manner.
  • Process of forms/payment orders regarding payroll tax, social security premium.
  • Salary & allowance Calculations
  • Support in the preparation of various HR and payroll reports
  • Administer and coordinate employee benefits and process interactions with the Netherlands authorities, e.g. UWV, RVO, CBS, Tax office.
  • Accurate, timely processing of employee data within defined processes/ databases; and management/ maintenance of employee records.
  • Respond to employee queries through the HR inbox, and act as point of contact for employee queries re holiday, payroll etc.
  • Provide administrative support as required for HR projects or initiatives.
  • Support with absence management, both offline and online (Absentie Manager portal) from governance perspective, making sure all steps are respected during the absence of any individual.
  • Coding (HR related) invoices through ARIBA.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • communication skills in Dutch and English language
  • Knowledge of Dutch tax, social and labor laws and regulations
  • Able to deal with deadlines
  • Good Excel skills
  • High accuracy and organizational skills.
