Role: Payroll Associate

Salary: £25,000 + study support
Locations: London (Baker Street), Reading, Manchester & Glasgow
Hybrid working: 1 day in the office and 4 days from home
We have partnered with an accountancy firm with offices based nationwide who are currently looking for a Payroll Associate to join their offices in each location. This is a great opportunity to progress in your careers as there is a lot of room for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- An understanding of current PAYE and NIC legislation that affects payroll.
- Ensure all starters, leavers, benefits, and allowances information is entered on to the payroll database and update the relevant spreadsheet to record all entries made
- Calculate leavers pay when leaving mid-month
- Calculation of statutory payments
- Process P45 forms
- Print and sort payslips for distribution
- Run payroll reports
- Ensure monthly salary payment for client payrolls are transferred to the correct accounts in a timely manner
- Completion of return of expenses and benefits forms P11D and P11D(b)
- Respond to client queries regarding payroll in a professional and timely manner
- Deal with HMRC correspondence enquiries
- Maintain an up-to-date client status schedule
- Deal with general administrative duties, as requested
Requirements:
- 6 months plus experience
- Studying towards a professional qualification (CIPP)
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Confident and competent in dealing with clients
- Have a working knowledge of MS Office
