My client who is based close to Piccadilly is currently looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. The role is key part of group accounting team. The position will manage the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the division along with ensuring a process of continual improvement in the processes of the division.


The role includes, but is not limited to:

·Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts for the division
·Analysis and commentary of the consolidated profit & loss, balance sheet and account reconciliations
·Preparation/review of forecasts and budgets for the division
·Liaising with accounts assistant on purchase ledger coding and weekly payment runs
·Supporting the property team on transactions as they arise
·Working with the property team to monitor budgets and forecasts for individual events
·Liaising with the publishing team on financial processes and controls
·Review/preparation of year end audit schedules and liaison with auditors
·Other projects that arise to work towards improving the efficiency and develop systems and controls


The ideal candidate will have:

·Either hold an accountancy qualification (ACCA or equivalent) or be 'qualified through experience' in a similar role.
·Advanced Excel skills and experience working with Sage is preferable
·Strong analytical skills and able to highlight issues and suggest solutions.
·Strong communication skills both written and verbal
·Be hands on and proactive.
·Good time management skills to ensure targets and job timescales are managed and met.
·The drive to learn, change and develop with a desire to be involved in best practice, continuous improvement.
