Cedar is looking for an experienced Corporate Accountant to join a Local Authority in the Midlands for an exciting new interim opportunity offering a competitive day rate and hybrid working. This is an urgent requirement with interviews expected to be in the first 2 weeks in October.
Day Rate: £500 – £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 9 months (with potential extension)
Location: Midlands
Hybrid Pattern: 2 days minimum per fortnight onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the account closedown process.
- Lead quarterly monitoring and budget setting for multiple areas.
- Manage the Finance Business Partner and Senior Finance Assistant.
- Oversee statutory returns and financial reporting.
Requirements
- CCAB Qualified
- Proven experience leading the closedown process within a Local Authority.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to produce statements and notes to accounts.
