Indirect Tax Accountant, 3 month contract Interim

A short-term interim role has arisen in highly regarded global media group where you’ll be working within the finance team and take ownership over VAT compliance for the UK and Irish Group. You will be reporting to the Director, Financial Control although you will also have a dotted line to the holding company’s Group Tax team for escalation, or any tax specific guidance. Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Responsible for the complete, accurate and timely preparation and submission of VAT returns together with supporting analysis for management review using established Alteryx workflows.
• Process maintenance and continuous improvements, including aligning processes to developing digital reporting requirements and making enhancements to the existing Alteryx workflow.
• Operation and evidence of controls over VAT reporting processes.

You will have strong VAT compliance experience and be available to start a contract in the coming weeks. You’ll need a strong attention to detail and be comfortable dealing with large amounts of data. Office presence is required for 50% of the time, please apply now for more information.
