Head of Category Management Permanent

Cedar are supporting a Public Sector organisation who are looking to hire a Head of Category Management. This is a permanent role with a salary range up to £85,000 on offer plus additional benefits/perks i.e. Car Allowance (£6,600). This role will operate mainly from home but given the level of responsibility may require you to be on-site in the North West c2 days every month for key meetings.

Reporting in to the Head of Procurement the successful candidate will become an active member of the organisations Leadership Team and will be responsible for leading operational capability across all categories ensure effective use of data and technology to drive/improve efficiencies. This role is a new position within the organisation and the successful candidate will help develop, motivate and build category, contract and supplier relationship management teams to support the organisation to continual improve and deliver best value by created and embedding contract and supplier relationship management.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

• MCIPS qualification or alternative comparable qualification
• Strong understanding of Public Sector Procurement Regulations (PCR2015)
• Experience managing a team is required, ideally in a fast paced environment
• Experience working in a Category Management, Contract Management & Supplier Relationship Management environment within the Public Sector
• Experience in Construction, Estates and/or FM would be advantageous
