A local authority is looking for an Interim Senior Accountant to support their Children's Social Care department on an interim basis for 3 months, paying £450 per day inside IR35. This role is fully remote.

Key role responsibilities:

• Ownership and delivery of Children's Social Care budgets
• Responsible for delivering monthly management accounting
• Managing and mitigating the current overspend
• Supporting delivery of the saving programme
• Financial modelling and appraisals
• Managing a team of 1 - 2 accounts assistant

• Attend meetings and present information to senior colleagues

Key candidate requirements:

• Qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA /CIMA
• Significant FP&A experience
• Management accounting experience
• Experience managing a team
• Local Government experience within Children's social care is essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Hands on approach
• Advanced Excel
