Our high profile and prestigious client are looking for a forward thinking and innovative procurement professional to lead the procurement function of this small but key area of the organisation. This will mainly be a stand-alone role, working closely with the current Procurement Manager, so would suit a self-motivated individual looking for that next career step! You will have experience of delivering robust strategies, implementing best practice, and ensuring the organisation benefits from value for money without compromising service levels across all spend for goods and services. Key areas of spend will fall within IT, marketing and creative agencies and you will liaise with media and culture regulators within the public sector to ensure that stakeholders needs are met and correct advice is given. You will lead on all high value procurement projects, working in conjunction with the legal team and individual stakeholders, using public sector guidelines/frameworks and adhering to PCR/public sector procurement regulations. This role would suit a senior procurement/category manager who is looking to take the next step into a Head of Procurement position.

  • Strong negotiator and ability to engage and advise senior stakeholders
  • Contracts management and effective Supplier Relationship Management skills
  • Proven commercial acumen
  • Proven track record of implementing procurement strategies and innovative solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Self-starter with gravitas and presence
  • Existing knowledge of managing indirect spend - cross category within a Public Sector environment
  • Experience of OJEU/PCR 2015 procurement process and use of frameworks
  • This role will be predominantly remote working therefore welcomes UK wide applicants
