A well respected not for profit organisation is looking for a Financial Controller to join the business during a very busy period, remote working available (office in London), £450-£500 per day inside IR35.

Kay role responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of all statutory and regulatory reporting and treasury management for the organisation (including subsidiary companies)
  • Project manage the full annual report and accounts (ARA), Ensuring that the planning and managing of the ARA preparation process is collaborative and designed to meet all financial and other regulatory requirements through the provision of expert guidance to the wider project team
  • Preparation and review of papers for Audit, Risk & Governance Committee, Board and other committees for policies, ARA, subsidiary management accounts and budgets. Including presenting papers at sub Boards
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with financial internal controls ensuring that the highest standards of propriety and integrity are operated
  • Ownership of the policy schedule; continuously assessing the effectiveness of financial controls and recommending and developing new policies and procedures when appropriate
  • Support the ongoing improvement programme to improve team efficiency, communication and ways of working.

Key candidate requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Significant financial reporting and controls experience
  • Strong IFRS experience
  • Team management experience
  • Strong systems knowledge (ideally Netsuite)
  • Public sector or NFP sector experience highly desirable
  • Hands-on, proactive approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and hit deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
