Intro

Cedar is currently partnered with a UK Consultancy business to secure an Interim Finance Manager based in Central London. The role is a 3-6-month initial contract, paying a day rate between £400-450 per day.

The Company

This leading UK Consultancy business, utilise the potential of data to offer impartial, evidence-based guidance, empowering brand proprietors to enhance their choices regarding media investments and boost business results.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations
  2. Coordinate the annual statutory accounts process.
  3. Handle working capital management
  4. Manage cashflow and foreign exchange risk in collaboration with the Group Finance team, proactively addressing upcoming cash needs.
  5. Manage the accurate and punctual monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting
  6. Supervise the UK payroll process.
  7. Oversee transactional finance staff responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit control.
  8. Lead the year-end audit and half-year review.
  9. Manage VAT controls and submissions.
  10. Prepare annual tax packs for use in corporate tax calculations and tax returns.
  11. Implement robust accounting controls for UK and Ireland accounting processes.
  12. Undertake various ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Hold a full qualification as ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) and possess substantial experience in financial accounting.
  • Demonstrate strong abilities in people management and development.
  • Exhibit a sound understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Possess a proactive mindset and a drive to enhance existing processes.
  • Communicate effectively with both senior finance professionals and non-finance stakeholders, addressing both financial and operational matters.
  • Display advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools and familiarity with Accounting Systems.
