Cedar are supporting a Management Consultancy who are currently on the look for an Interim Estimating Manager. This role is on an initial 6 month contract and will be a mixture of home and office based (Berkshire) with a day rate up to £450 (INSIDE IR35) on offer. Candidates applying MUST HAVE active SC Clearance or be able to undergo SC Clearance in order to undertake this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the estimating function for the programme/projects you are assigned to support. You will provide strategic advice for the management of the estimating function for all projects and help select, measure and track metrics. You will be required to implement best practice estimating standards and procedures, ensuring a consistent approach for all projects. You will be required to analyse collected data and metrics to support forecasts and help analyse/evaluate tender returns to support/update project timescales. You will also be required to build/maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- Strong background working in Estimating positions
- Demonstrable experience within Nuclear and/or Defence is required (c10 years' experience would be advantageous)
- Extensive knowledge of the functional estimating process with a good understanding of data analysis methods/KPIs
- Active SC or DV Clearance would be advantageous
