Prestigious public sector health client are looking for a Deputy Head of Procurement to support the current Head of Procurement on managing indirect spend across the function. You will cover a range of indirect services along with health sector specific categories and will be well versed in using a full range of public sector procurement processes and frameworks, engaging with suppliers on a daily basis. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously and at various levels of spend. You will be a self-starter and able to work without supervision. Recent knowledge of PCR 2015 and public sector procurement processes is essential.
You will ensure that along with meeting the organisations strategic objectives, value for money and public sector compliance is met. This will be an integral role, therefore you will require the ability to work autonomously and be self-sufficient.
Key areas -
·Experience of working on multiple procurement projects covering indirect spend in the NHS/Public Sector
·Experience of working on public sector procurement processes/using frameworks - ideally NHS
·Supplier management and contract negotiation/drafting
·Must be enthusiastic and extremely driven
·Effective stakeholder management
·Ability to communicate at all levels
·MCIPS Qualified - desirable
Previous NHS procurement experience required
PLEASE NOTE this role requires 2-3 days in the office per week in Guildford
