Interim Commercial Financial Analyst

£400 - £450 day rate - Umbrella
We are exclusively partnered with a leading FMCG business who are urgently looking for an interim commercial finance analyst. As the Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial decision-making processes and driving profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to provide accurate and insightful financial analysis. Your expertise will enable us to identify opportunities for growth, optimize revenue streams, and maximize profitability.
The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, pricing analysis, and profitability assessments, to provide valuable insights for business decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to evaluate pricing strategies, promotional activities, and product profitability.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and recommending actions to drive financial performance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate financial analysis results to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies and initiatives to optimize revenue generation and cost management.
- Support the development of business cases for new product launches, capital investments, and other strategic projects.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
The successful candidate:
- ACA/CA/CIMA/ACCA
- Proven experience as a finance analyst, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Power BI advantageous
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
