Cedar are supporting a Public Sector organisation who are looking to recruit an Interim Commercial Director on a 6-month contract (potential to extend). This role will be based from home but will require occasional travel for key meetings (either in Leeds or London) and offers a day rate of up to £800 (INSIDE IR35).
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of Procurement and Commercial professionals (c10 people) and will be required to help build/develop the team in place along with being responsible for; overseeing procurements, managing estates and facilities, developing commercial, procurement and estates policies/strategies, ensuring continual compliance in line with Public Sector regulations (PCR2015) to then allow a smooth/effective handover to a permanent Director.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE experience:
- Experience working in a Head of or Director level in a Procurement, Category or Commercial Management role
- Understanding of Public Sector Procurement Regulations and Processes
- Strong Team and Stakeholder Management skills
