Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are on the look for an Interim Category Manager to cover their Technology category. This is a part time opportunity and we are looking for someone who is open to work 2-4 days per week depending on procurement activity requirements. This is an interim contract that is INSIDE IR35 and will run until the end of July 2021 (plus potential extension) on a day rate of up to £310 on offer. This role will be home based but may require occasional travel into the office in line with government guidance.

The successful candidate will be required to attend steering group meetings representing procurement, work with project manager to plan procurement activity, facilitate the procurement activity within e-tendering system to include supporting business with writing of tender packs (requirements, bid rules, evaluation criteria, etc.), supporting bid evaluations, moderation and awards.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards CIPS or relevant experience in Technology Procurement
  • Sound knowledge of procuring Technology relating Goods and Services
  • Commercial knowledge within ICT and Technology contracts
  • Knowledge of PCR2015 with evidence of providing Value for Money in the Public Sector
  • Experience in Telephony Replacement or Unified Comms would be advantageous
