A Head of Treasury is sought by a growing, acquisitive professional services company. They are genuine market leaders, have a presence in more than 50 countries and are backed by significant private equity funding.

A change in ownership structure has created the new position of Head of Treasury. The role reports to the Group FC & CFO and responsibilities include:

  • Owning & developing Treasury strategy, cash management processes and relationships with key global banking partners.
  • Managing the Treasury Manager (inc. daily cash management, FX & money market trading).
  • Investing cash assets safely / profitably; achieve gains via cash repatriation where possible.
  • Managing financial risks of FX, interest rates, and funding levels within agreed parameters.
  • Negotiating refinancing / debt financing where necessary; own the covenant reporting of these.
  • Developing processes around cash-flow modelling, new risk policies and use of systems.
  • Participating in ad hoc projects - often at Board level - to support the growth of the company.

The ideal candidate for the Head of Treasury will possess the following attributes:

  • A full accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and / or a Treasury qualification (e.g. AMCT).
  • Extensive & demonstrable corporate Treasury experience - cash management a necessity.
  • Prior experience of negotiating with banks & lenders around re-financing / debt financing.
  • Proven ability to negotiate & build strong relationships with all stakeholders (e.g. banks).
  • The desire to constantly improve the performance of the Treasury team and its' profile.
  • Strong ethical beliefs and a desire to 'do the right thing' by people.

Salary: £10000 - £120000 + 15% bonus + 15% pension + benefits.
