Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute the Group procurement strategy and translate corporate and business goals into actionable procurement targets

2. Responsible for the development, execution and on-going management of all Group contracts and related activities. This involves and not limited to demand management, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, delivery planning and ongoing vendor performance management and improvement

3. Lead the negotiation strategy for large and complex contracts (particularly IT) and partner with Group Legal to ensure appropriate clauses are included in the contracts

4. Design and implement procurement policies with systems analytics to support tendering, contract management, spend analytics and vendor performance management

5. Assemble constituent reporting requirements and develop vendor scorecards and dashboards for presenting financial and performance results including quality, capacities, systems and responsiveness

6. Manage the creation and maintenance of a repository of vendors of all executed contracts to track key dates (expirations, renewals) and vendor spend by category

7. Classify and rationalise the vendor portfolio so that focus can be applied to the most strategically important vendor relationships/engagements

8. Act as the point of contact for escalation and arbitration for relationship issues and contractual conflicts

9. Communicate and instil the importance of procurement within the organisation and evolve procurement into a strategic business function

10. Partner with finance on best ways to manage the global cost base and assist in developing appropriate delegation of authority
