A Group Reporting Accountant is sought by a well-known and highly regarded industrial FTSE-30 Plc. They employ thousands of highly skilled people across the world and are widely recognised as being a well-run company who look after their staff. They are cash rich, secure and have a clear future strategy; this role is key to helping them to deliver on this.

Reporting to the Group Controller, the Group Reporting Accountant works in a team of 5 and enjoys a prominent role, liaising across all global operations. Specific responsibilities include:
·Producing selected group financial statements & disclosure notes.
·Reviewing, analysing and challenging information provided by global business units.
·Project planning for external reporting and other corporate projects (e.g. bond issues); own checklists for half-year and year-end reporting.
·Supporting the implementation of the new reporting platform & associated processes.
·Delivering Group-wide training and development programmes to non-finance stakeholders.
·Assisting with several ad hoc queries from stakeholders across the Group; e.g. Investor Relations, Company Secretarial, Group Legal, Tax, Sustainable Development and Treasury.

NOTE: This role does NOT prepare the consolidated accounts, it reviews & analyses them.

The ideal candidate for the post of Group Reporting Accountant will be a Big 4 trained ACA who is looking to make their first move from practice or who has audited global groups and / or Plcs. You will have strong technical knowledge, will be seeking a project-based role and will enjoy the cerebral challenge of how best to manage the various requests that will come your way. The ability to manage stakeholders at all levels is a given, as is tenacity, attention to detail and the desire to challenge the status quo.
