Group FP&A Lead

Circa £85,000 + bonus etc

Global market leader, multi-billion $ revenue

Central London / Hybrid

This global market leader operates across multiple countries and has an instantly recognisable brand. With a turnover of several $billion, the organisation is going from strength to strength across its main categories.

Due to an internal promotion this high profile role is now being recruited.

Reporting to the Group FP&A Director, the role includes:

  • Reporting the Group's monthly management results to the CEO, CFO, Group Executive Committee (GEC) and the PLC Board.
  • Managing and coordinating the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes of the Group on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Providing in-depth analysis and insight on the performance of the group's businesses. This requires building strong relationships within Group and with the businesses globally.
  • Managing and coordinating the Group's annual budget & strategic plan and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Scenario modelling and what-if analysis on budgets, 3 year plans and M&A activity.
  • Top 25 contract reviews for each region on a quarterly basis and presentation of findings in board papers to Audit Committee.
  • Running analyst consensus for the Director of Investor Relations (IR), provide analysis to IR on half year end and year end results to support the CEO and CFO's presentations.

Required candidate profile:

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 4 years PQE and excellent academics.
  • Experience of building and analysing P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet budgets and forecasts for large Groups or Divisions.
  • Excellent Excel modelling skills, with the ability to model quickly and accurately under time pressure if required.
  • An assured, confident personality with impressive communication skill is an absolute must. You will be engaging with and presenting to a wide ranging senior audience including the Exec.
  • A sound technical ability, including confidence with group consolidations, a high level understanding of IFRS accounting requirements and the ability to extract and manipulate financial data from the Group system.
  • An ambitious, driven and highly credible personality.
  • Excellent attention to detail ('an endless sense of curiosity') and high professional standards. The reputation of the team is built on this.

Desirable background (not essential):

  • Big 4 trained ACA, with experience in due diligence for M&A.
  • Experience in using or reviewing Group Reporting Packages (BPC would be an advantage but not a necessity).
  • Experience of US GAAP
