A Group Financial Planning Analyst is required for a particularly high-growth private equity backed company. Established more than 20 years ago, they have expanded particularly quickly (both organically and by acquisition) over the past five years; they now boast a turnover of >£600m and have a presence in almost 40 countries. The company plans to continue their expansion; their aim is to build a world-leading business and this is a unique opportunity to join them.
The Group Financial Planning Analyst will report into the Group Head of FP&A.and will play a key role in the production, review and evaluation of actuals reporting, budgeting and forecasting within the Group. Duties include:
·Act as a Finance Business Partner for 2 main cost centre owners (c. £50m annual spend); prepare monthly P&L analysis and help them understand their business / ensure that transactions are entered correctly.
·Produce the budgets & forecasts for the above cost centre and other head office entities including P&L, cash flow and balance sheets.
·Prepare monthly budget analysis packs for key stakeholders (e.g. Group COO / CFO).
·Assist with preparation of budget and forecast reports for central services company.
·Monitor KPIs as part of the forecasting and budgeting process.
·Prepare ad hoc analytical reports as required, including analysis of capital expenditure.
Candidates for the Group Financial Planning Analyst role will be fully qualified accountants (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) who possess either a management accounting or auditing background and who are looking to move into a more forward-looking planning or analytically based role. Excellent stakeholder management skills, an attention to detail and a natural curiosity are a must whilst an interest in or exposure to financial services / insurance may be useful.
