Cedar are delighted to be recruiting a Group Financial Accountant for a market-leading media & communications company who create events on a worldwide scale. Seen as one of the go-to brands in their industry, they are both growing and becoming increasingly profitable as they successfully develop their brand and move into new markets.

The role of Group Financial Accountant has been created as a result of internal promotion and will support the Group Financial Reporting Manager in the provision of key financial information for use by both management and current / potential investors. Specific responsibilities include:
·Preparing Group half year and year end schedules including parts of the annual & interim reports.
·Creating analysis, papers & presentations for the Exec, Board and others on business results.
·Advising on accounting treatments, e.g. acquisition accounting, valuations, impairment reviews.
·Assisting local teams with their completion of monthly cash flow & other reporting.
·Supporting the preparation of the Group's monthly management accounts.
·Ad-hoc support including budgeting, re-forecasting and one-off project work.
·Managing the Junior Accountant who will directly support you in this role.

The ideal candidate for the position of Group Financial Accountant will be an ACA who has audited mid-size companies / groups or Plcs and who can demonstrate sound knowledge of IFRS.
