Group Finance Manager: Financial Services (Investments) - Covent Garden, London
Salary £70,000 - £80,000
Cedar are recruiting a Group Finance Manager role for a sharp investment firm with a HQ in Covent Garden, London. Focused on the renewables space and with an AUM of £2bn this business is embarking on a growth cycle and having successfully closing a fund are looking to raise capital. The Group Finance Manager will be heavily involved in value-add process improvements and system implementations as this Financial Services company moves forwards.
Responsibilities of the Group Finance Manager include:
Finance
- Oversee all group financial reporting for the asset manager and assist in the co-ordination and planning of work in the finance department as required.
- Assist with the implementation of the new Sage Intact financial reporting system and establish new financial controls and procedures for the new system to support the growth in the group.
- Ensuring that the general ledger is accurate and complete, and that all analytical reviews and balance sheet reconciliations have been completed.
- Preparation of management accounts and Board packs.
- Preparation of the annual budgets and financial forecasts for the group
- Cash flow forecasting and planning
- Manage monthly payment runs and ensure cash controls are implemented and maintained.
- Assist with the implementation of the new Sage Intact financial reporting system and establish new financial controls and procedures for the new system to support the growth in the group.
- Take a proactive role in questioning processes in place with a view to continuous improvement.
- Create new value adding reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Preparation of the statutory financial accounts for all applicable entities ensuring compliance with FRS102.
- Manage and co-ordinate the annual audit.
- Manage the fund and intercompany re-charges.
- Oversee the integration of data from Concur into the Sage Intact system.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistant.
Risk and Compliance
- Assist with the submission of annual returns for UK group companies.
- Review regulatory returns for entities regulated in a variety of jurisdictions.
- Manage the submission of finance specific FCA returns.
Requirements:
- ACA / CAANZ or SAICA Qualified with 2-3 years post qualified experience.
- Experience with hands on process improvements or system implementation
- Ideally from a Financial Services background
