The Business:
A Global Retail Brand, prominent in the Fortune 500 with a big presence in Europe and across America.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Category Manager will be responsible for a large European spend, developing and implementing strategy with IT
- Not only this but they will be accountable for influencing wider global spend of c.£500m across a range of IT subcategories
- You will be expected to build and influence key stakeholder relationships to a senior level - effectively challenging when necessary to achieve a positive result
- Work in a cross-functional team in order to deliver on the wider business strategy through collaborative procurement and teamwork
- Driving proper procurement process at all levels
- This individual will manage key strategic regional supplier relationships understanding trade-offs with risk, quality, cost and sustainability
- Opportunity assessment
- CIPS or equivalent qualification would be very useful

- You must be proactive in your approach
- Resilient in character - able to challenge stakeholders to achieve a positive result
- Have a strong track record within the IT category such as Software/SaaS, Infrastructure, IT Services
- Able to navigate a multi-regional global environment and cut through the noise, prioritising effectively
- Someone who understands what 'best in class' procurement looks like and can bring new ideas to the table
- An ability to develop and implement category strategy on a global scale
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
