The Organisation:
A world-renowned global technology and IT services business who also provide consultancy support. Revenue of over £16Bn a year. Function across every continent with over 250,000 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategy for software vendors on a global scale
- Manage end to end sourcing process, supplier negotiations and contracts, strategic account relationships, performance evaluations and continuous improvement activity
- Drive global savings objectives with your key stakeholders (internal use, managed services and resell)
- This role owns strategy, supplier selection and the overall supplier relationship for all vendors in their category/portfolio. The profile drives savings within the category all the while ensuring the best T&Cs, quality and delay
- Lead on Tier 1 and 2 software supplier relationships
Key Experience:
* A strong, deep experience in large corporations with proven track record in sourcing global software suppliers (experience in global system integrators is a bonus). This includes key Tier 1 global suppliers
* Results oriented with proven negotiation skills driving significant savings and strong supplier partnerships (including continuous improvement activity)
* Highly organised person with an ability to balance global vision with attention to local detail and prioritising activities in a complex matrix environment
* Strong communicator with solid problem-solving skills - able to influence stakeholders to a senior level
* Degree/CIPS/Equivalent Qualification
