I am exclusively partnered with a leading international transportation group who are looking to hire a FP&A Manager in a newly created position. This is an exciting Commercial role that will offer high level exposure to the management team and will suit an ACA qualified Accountant from practice or with some industry experience.

Overview of the role

Analytic, finance and business focused role, with a significant exposure to Executive team / Senior Leadership team
Background Top 10 consultancy
Manages a team of 2 FP&A controllers + 1 FP&A analyst
Role focussed on analysis of company-wide business performance, analytics from the central and support functions performance, will establish monthly reviews with the businesses / central function to help drive and influence decision making at all levels in the organisation
Working closely in partnership with Business Managers, Heads of Functions and Senior Management/Executive team, supporting them on FP&A activity but also providing financial and commercial challenge to ensure budget holders are held to account to deliver to plan
Lead Budget / Forecast process in coordination with Directors/ Commercial / Scheduling / Managers teams and cascade implication of company targets by function
Important exposure to shareholder (Treasury / Consolidation/ Group controlling)
Strong Excel / financial modelling skills
Interrogate and provide robust challenge on performance versus targets (Budget/Fcst1/Fcst2), help devise action plans to get back on target and alert management of consequences and implications
Support, prepare and lead the development of business cases or ad hoc queries raised locally or from our shareholders

Experience required.

ACA qualified
Experience in working for a mid to large size business in a FP&A role, ideally with previous management experience.
Strong Excel skills
