A Financial Reporting Manager is sought by a well-known and highly regarded industrial FTSE-30 Plc. They employ around 50000 people across the world and are recognised as being a well run company who look after their staff. They have a clear future strategy and this role is key to helping them to deliver on this.

Reporting in to the Group Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager will enjoy a prominent role in the department and liaise across all Corporate Head Office functions. Specific responsibilities include:
·Production of consolidated financial information, inc financial statements & disclosure notes.
·Review, analysis and challenge information provided by reporting units.
·Project planning for external reporting seasons and other corporate projects (e.g. bond issues and SEC registration updates);
·Support the development of the consolidation system & associated processes.
·Providing accounting expertise for key areas of judgments and estimates such as provisioning, rehabilitation, impairment testing, underlying earnings and wider support for transactions.
·Assist with ad hoc queries and requests from stakeholders across the Group; e.g. Investor Relations, Company Secretarial, Group Legal, Tax, Sustainable Development, and Treasury.

The ideal candidate for the Financial Reporting Manager will be a Big 4 trained ACA who is either looking to make their first move from practice or who has already gained relevant experience in the Group function of a FTSE-100 plc. Candidates will have strong financial reporting and group consolidations experience and will enjoy the cerebral challenge of how best to manage the various structuring & advisory projects that will come your way. The ability to manage stakeholders at all levels is a given, as is tenacity, attention to detail and the desire to challenge the status quo.
