Financial Reporting Manager

Circa £75,000 (dependent on experience)

London + Working From Home

This Global Sports Media group delivers sporting and entertainment broadcast content across multiple territories, leading the market in several countries. With an instantly recognisable brand and a highly acquisitive approach to growth, this business is expanding at a rapid rate.

Its is now seeking a highly talented chartered accountant who can support the local FD and Media Rights teams.

This high profile role includes:

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Coordination and oversight of statutory reporting, audit and financial planning processes
  • Ensuring that insightful commentary on and analysis of financial reporting and forecasts are produced by the business units, and consolidating this into a Group perspective
  • Analysis of financial reports and data to check for discrepancies
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Ownership of tax submissions to HMRC (VAT return, Corp Tax etc…)
  • Partnering with relevant teams across UK, Group and other OpCos to support decisions and processes
  • Develop, lead and manage 1 person

Candidate requirements:

  • Chartered accountant
  • Technical accounting/financial reporting experience
  • A genuine love for numbers
  • Ability to excel within a fast paced creative and growing environment
  • Confidence on own ability
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable but not essential:

  • Media rights experience
