A Financial Controller is sought by a particularly exciting brand name live entertainment business who are growing domestically and who have earmarked two new international markets to expand into. Bolstered by the latest cutting edge creative and technological innovation, they've developed a truly unique experience that has seen visitor numbers both increase and remain high.

The newly created position of Financial Controller will report into the Financial Director and lead a team of two people. The role is particularly varied and will see the postholder:

  • Produce KPI reports and detailed monthly / quarterly management accounts for Board use.
  • Help prepare & report on annual budgets, cash & revenue forecasts and CapEx budgets.
  • Develop systems, processes and new ways of reporting to support business growth.
  • Assist in producing various models (e.g. licensing / sales) for future international projects.
  • Deliver advice to improve profitability, plan future growth, allocate resources & manage costs.
  • Prepare financial statements, work with auditors, prepare VAT returns, liaise with tax advisors.
  • Work on a particularly broad range of ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate for the position of Financial Controller will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with at least 3 years' experience in a commercial role.
  • Possess all-round management & financial reporting experience including finalising accounts.
  • Have a passion for working in a start-up environment where processes need to be established.
  • Be a curious, outgoing, natural communicator who enjoys working at FD / Board level.
  • Thrive in a busy, fast-paced role with operational and financial challenges plenty.

NOTE: Prior experience within the entertainment, hospitality, events or leisure sectors would be a slight advantage.

Salary: £70000 - £75000 + 20% bonus + benefits.
