A private equity backed software house is soon to embark on a wide ranging initiative to transform the firm's finance operations. Central to this programme is the consolidation of circa 30 existing accounting systems into a single ERP platform, promoting efficiency processes and commonality across the business that will be pivotal to the growth and profitability of the organisation.
This position will take the lead on the functional and business facing elements of the programme, initially by contributing to the selection of the ERP platform and then spearheading its implementation. The role requires an individual with a background in finance (preferably supported by a relevant qualification, ACA, ACCA, FCMA, CIMA etc) who has a comprehensive understanding of enterprise accounting operations. You should then have moved into more transformation focussed initiatives, taking a leadership role in change activity affecting the organisation on a broad scale.
Due to the size of the business, candidates who have operated within mid-size organisations (SMEs) would be of particular interest. The role requires a commercial outlook and the willingness to be very 'hands-on' at every level of the organisation and phase of the implementation. The project team delivering the initative is small so it is imperative candidate's can commit to a range tasks and responsibilities, which requires a different skill set to ERP implementations within large blue-chip or financial services businesses.
