Finance Systems Lead ( Sun Systems)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Systems Lead to join our clients team.
As the Finance Systems Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of Sun Systems, our financial management software.
Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of our finance systems and enabling accurate and efficient financial operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide leadership in managing system enhancements, upgrades, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance and accounting, combined with expertise in Sun Systems or similar financial software.
Responsibilities:
System Implementation and Management:
- Provide support to UK based finance system users
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Sun Systems by establishing and enforcing data validation and quality control processes.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
System Maintenance and Optimisation:
- Perform regular system maintenance activities, such as applying patches, updates, and system enhancements.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks or issues, and implement optimisation strategies to enhance system efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system reliability, data security, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate financial reports and analysis using Sun Systems to support decision-making and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP Conur desirable
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) within Sun Systems for monitoring financial performance.
- Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities by leveraging Sun Systems capabilities.
User Support and Training:
- Provide end-user support for Sun Systems, including troubleshooting system issues, answering user queries, and providing guidance on system functionality.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance user proficiency in Sun Systems and promote best practices in financial management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must have experience with Sun Systems, ideally version 6.4
Experience with SAP Concur desirable
Strong understanding of finance processes, systems and reporting
Knowledge of how data flows in and through the business
Strong problem solver with an analytical mindset
Excellent business partnering and communication ability
