Finance Manager, Australia & APAC - Fintech 'Unicorn' Start-up - Fully remote - $130-170 + Life changing pre-IPO equity!

An exclusive Finance Manager role for one of the fastest growing Fintechs in the world!

Founded in 2018 in San Francisco, the VC backed business already has operations in close to 80 countries and did 200X in valuation growth last year alone, with 40% monthly revenue growth and reaching 'Unicorn' status in only 3 years with their last valuation at $5.5Bn!

Due to this growth they need to establish a solid Finance function for the Australia business, with oversight for other young entities across the APAC region as they grow. You will help bring finance in-house, establish a solid finance function with proper processes and controls, while managing a team.

As a fully remote working company you can work from anywhere in the world - and this has allowed them to hire the best talent across the Globe. You will also have the opportunity to grow an international team and hire new people as the young entities in the region grow.

The business has plans to IPO very soon - and with a generous equity package on offer - there is an opportunity to earn a life changing amount of money as you join the company as one of the first 400 people onboard.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will report directly into, and present numbers, to the Finance Director
  • Help to set up finance in-house, overseeing the month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes
  • Lead on all management and financial reporting for the country
  • Hiring, training and managing a small Finance team to support the company growth
  • Oversight of tax reports and payroll accounting

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • A qualified CA/CPA with at least 4 years of accounting or finance experience, with full month-end and year-end accounting knowledge
  • Adaptable personality able to flourish in a hyper-growth dynamic start-up environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Australian GAAP
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Strong excel skills
