Finance Director, Construction Cost - Technology Infrastructure - Central London - £100-130k + bonus + shares + flexible working

A leading Technology Infrastructure scale-up is looking for an experienced Commercial Finance leader for a newly created position managing all the finances around their construction costs and performance with £1.7Bn in Capex construction spend to manage.

At only 10 years old they are the leading Technology Infrastructure scale-up in their market, with operations across 15 countries across North America and EMEA, and naming all of FAANG (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google) as their clients.

You will partner the Design, Construction and Engineering team responsible for the entire process flow of delivering Technology Infrastructure Projects from conception through commissioning, working with Commercial, Operations and Senior Management.

As the lead finance business partner you will provide recommendations to project managers, engineers and the senior executive team on all project cost actuals and forecast performance through existing and newly developed reports and business strategies. You will establish, lead and drive cost controls, develop project specific strategies, to address the needs of the wide spectrum of construction projects.

Reporting directly into the CFO, you will also manage and grow a high-performing team, currently consisting of a Lead Finance Manager and 2 Senior Project Accountants, in a flexible working environment based out of their central London EMEA HQ.

With £3Bn in new capital raised from large PE and Institutional investors, and having 2X in size in 2020, the business is on a massive growth trajectory, is set to go through a transaction in the next several years - and with a generous share scheme on offer, the possibility of lucrative exit is very real.

Essential skills to be considered for this role:

  • 3+ years experience of high-value construction/infrastructure Finance
  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant PQE
  • Strong team management experience of direct reports
  • Comfortable with change, able to operate in an expanding young and dynamic scale-up organisation
