Finance Data Manager - £63k - Energy Infrastructure - London

An incredible opportunity has opened for one of Britain's leading Energy Infrastructure businesses, that is fast becoming a popular tool in households, to create a smart, efficient and greener life.

The company have gone from strength to strength, having exceeded expectations since their opening and are fast becoming the innovators in providing smart solutions. My client is looking for a Finance Data Manager to join their Finance Data & Transformation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to analyse large sets of data with understanding of different ways it can be used for the reporting to finance team and establish relevant data policies where they do not already exist
  • Lead a team of expert Finance Data Analysts, overseeing data clarity and reviewing outputs when needed
  • Working strategically with the head of transformation & data to create a clear path for data using appropriate controls
  • Liaising with the Business Improvement and Internal Audit team to understand annual schedule of internal compliance and audits
  • Collaborating with finance transformation and continuous improvement as the lead for controls and risk mitigation to ensure appropriate controls are in place
  • Responsible for the statutory audit feedback in accordance to management letter points and creating an action plan to identify risks and weaknesses
  • Oversee the financial modelling of the Finance Business Partners for business cases
  • Ability to recognise system controls and ensure they are used in accordance with the companies policy, identifying via the risk register and support with solutions to mitigate risks
  • Enabling processes to monitor compliance in line with finance policies. Track and report on non-compliance on a monthly basis, highlighting control weaknesses to prevent future non-compliance issues

Skills/Attributes

  • ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CGMA qualified or relevant degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage stakeholders expectations whilst prioritising tasks
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel, able to complete analysis, evaluate and present for reporting
  • Experienced in financial modelling and overseeing financial models for others to maintain
  • Experienced in analysing large sets of data with scope of identifying complex issues
  • Proven problem solver and being a strategic thinker
  • Experienced with programmes, e.g SAP, Power BI, Hyperion, Dynamics
  • Highly organised and motivated individual
