Role Overview: The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in defining, designing, and delivering projects within a diverse portfolio of change initiatives. Collaborating with Business, Finance, IT, and other Group functions, the Project Manager will implement change through robust project management practices, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transformation Delivery: Implement change through robust project and change management practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, enhancing business engagement through effective communication strategies.
- Team Leadership: Contribute actively to enhancing team engagement and performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Governance Excellence: Establish and maintain an effective governance framework, ensuring oversight and control across the project lifecycle.
- Key Deliverables Ownership: Take charge of critical project elements such as planning and budget management, applying suitable methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget Management: Forecast and manage allocated budgets efficiently, demonstrating financial acumen and cost-consciousness.
- Continuous Improvement: Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, capturing lessons learned in collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on Project Management experience, specifically in delivering Finance projects encompassing business processes, technology, data, and organizational change.
- Budget Management: Proven track record of managing projects with budgets up to £5m, demonstrating financial acumen.
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Successful delivery of end-to-end projects from initiation to delivery, release, and handover.
- Certification: Preferably holds a Project Management Professional accreditation such as APM, Prince2, SAFe, or Agile.
- Financial Expertise: In-depth understanding of large corporate financial budgeting and planning processes, including tax, treasury, accounting & reporting, and financial controls.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience in dynamic environments and ambiguity management during process, standards, and governance changes.
Location: The role requires the successful candidate to be on-site at the Head Office in Hertfordshire a minimum of 2 days a week.
Salary: The company offers a competitive salary of up to £80,000 +bonus, along with a market-leading benefits package.
