We have partnered with an innovative vegan skincare brand who are taking the market by storm. They are looking for a proven Finance Assistant on an interim basis to join their busy team.

The role is offered as a full time, temporary role until the position is filled permanently, which the person in post is very welcome to apply for.

Hybrid working model is on offer (2 days in the office - Tuesday and Wednesday) and the working hours are 9.30m to 5.30pm. The salary is circa £30,000 (equivalent will be paid on a daily rate)

This temporary position will ideally commence on Monday 18th July 2022, so please only apply for this role if you are immediately available or have a minimal notice period.

Duties & Responsibilities

Management Accounting & Reporting

  • Bank & credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with stock reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end duties

Accounts Payable

  • Chase outstanding purchase invoices from suppliers
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Preparation of weekly payment runs
  • Process of payments through Xero
  • Credit checks on potential new suppliers
  • Reviewing all direct debits and other monthly payments

Accounts Receivable

  • Chase outstanding debt from customers
  • Raise customer invoices, in line with orders being dispatched
  • Assist operations with any stock discrepancies
  • Reconcile customer remittances
  • Data entry to third party systems (customer EDI, IGF)
  • Manage customer relationships
  • Process of daily receipts through Xero

Skill Set

  • Minimum of 12 months practical experience
  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • Studying, or keen to start CIMA or ACCA
  • Familiar with an SME or start-up environment
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Good at managing deadlines & prioritising tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Adept at building and maintaining relationships and networks
  • Experience in a Retail / FMCG would be advantageous
