An Entity Rationalisation Accountant is sought by a leading Financial Services company in the City who have grown particularly quickly in the past 6 years via a significant number of acquisitions. They are a real success story and still intend to make acquisitions for several years to come. There is therefore a need to eliminate companies that no longer have a business purpose and restructure the remaining companies to facilitate consolidation - whilst almost 100 companies have been eliminated in the past three years, almost 70 have been acquired and up to another 50 are soon likely to follow.

Sitting in the Financial Risk & Assurance team, the Entity Rationalisation Accountant will work closely with finance, tax, legal & company secretarial teams around the world and perform the following tasks:
·Deliver the Entity Rationalisation project plan (eliminate c. 50 companies over 2 years).
·Assist with managing and developing the project plan beyond this time.
·Prepare and / or review due diligence to identify & manage risks.
·Work with other stakeholders to resolve all pre-dissolution actions in a timely manner.
·Review legal documents required to complete pre-dissolution actions - share issuances; capital reductions; loan repayments; declaration of dividends; business transfers; share transfers; strike-offs; liquidations.
·Assist with the company's FY20 internal restructure as required
·Ad-hoc requests as required

The ideal candidate for the role of Entity Rationalisation Accountant will be a qualified accountant - ACA preferred - who will ideally have gained at least some experience in practice. Prior exposure to due diligence, restructuring and / or rationalising corporate structures would be of use as would strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. This role offers real visibility at CFO level and is an excellent entry point to the organisation.
