Dutch Speaking Finance Assistant

£25,000 to £32,000 (dependent on relevant experience)

Permanent, Full-time role (37.5 hours per week)

London based

Hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days from home)

We have partnered with a privately owned London based asset management company who are looking for a fluent Dutch speaking Finance Assistant to join their busy team.

The successful candidate will have strong finance experience and take responsibility of the AR, AP and bank reconciliation function within the Netherlands. Strong communication, multi-tasking and organisational skills are essential.


  • Enter all purchase invoices on the accounting system
  • Review aged debtors and escalate overdue receipts
  • Obtain authorisation from the appropriate person for all purchase invoices
  • Ensure all sales invoices are raised / posted accurately
  • Where any discrepancies or issues arise with sales and purchase invoices, raise this with the Controller / Treasurer in order that a timely resolution can be identified.
  • Prepare the weekly payment run for approval and payment.
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations across multiple banking platforms for both GBP & Euro payments.
  • Maintain files for purchase invoices, bank statements, sales invoices, and VAT returns
  • Provide support with audit requests
  • Ensure month end duties are performed

Person Specification

  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Experience of working in a busy Accounts Payable department, or a good understanding of accounting principles.
  • Exposure to working in an accounts department with multiple entities would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to Access Dimensions and Sage would be advantageous
  • Experience within the renewable energy sector would be beneficial but not essential.
